The Detroit Wayne County Metropolitan Airport constructed the Midfield Terminal Project which included construction of a new 11,500 square foot parking garage. The entire structure is approximately 1,600 feet long, 240 feet wide, and 10 stories tall, 3 stories of which are below grade. At the time of completion in 2001 it was the largest parking structure ever built at one time.

Geotechnical Engineering and Construction Engineering
- Value engineered 16-inch diameter, 200 ton capacity augercast pile system to replace the designed steel driven piles, resulting in a quality, high capacity, and cost effective foundation system.
- The augercast piles were the highest capacity ever used locally. G2 developed a rigorous load testing program to verify the capacities of the piles, including a combination of load tests: compression, tension, and lateral load tests.
- Low strain integrity testing was performed on each augercast pile to confirm no discontinuities were present.
