Challenges/Solutions

  • Value engineered 16-inch diameter, 200 ton capacity augercast pile system to replace the designed steel driven piles, resulting in a quality, high capacity, and cost effective foundation system.
  • The augercast piles were the highest capacity ever used locally. G2 developed a rigorous load testing program to verify the capacities of the piles, including a combination of load tests: compression, tension, and lateral load tests.
  • Low strain integrity testing was performed on each augercast pile to confirm no discontinuities were present.
